FIFA World Cup 2018 - GROUP A [Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uruguay - 14/15/19/20/25 June] **spoiler

I expected Russia to struggle, maybe squeak through to the knockout stages, maybe not. In fact, they'll comfortably make it through.

Mind you, then they'll likely face Spain or Portugal and I just can't see them winning that.

Is it just this TV I'm on, or are the numbers on the Saudi shirts violently green? I'm in a hotel, just wondered if it's the dodgy Chinese TV or if they are really that blisteringly bright.

Don't think any of the teams from this group are going to go further than the next round. Uruguay and Egypt have been very disappointing. The other teams have been so bad it's hard to know how good Russia are.

Russia's dominance so far too good to be true? Only a couple of months ago their doping charge was dropped by FIFA due to 'lack of evidence'. They now appear physical specimens and running their opponents of the park with record distance coverage

How. Dare. You. Russia only has clean athletes now and they would never dope after they learned their lesson a few years ago. Their ridiculous stamina and huge work ethic even when 3/4 goals up is nothing to be suspicious about.

Haha, Russia defender trying to cheat and opens the gap up for a weak Suarez free kick to give Uraguay the lead.

What is it about the ITV coverage? framerate or colours or something I just don't get grabbed by the game when watching it - while the BBC coverage feels far more connected.

The BBC coverage is better in every sense. Better presenters and pundits, no adverts, 4k streaming, better picture quality.
