I dunno what the difference is but the BBC coverage just looks so much better and also pulls you into the game more - a few times I've put on games the ITV covers I thought I might be interested in and just not been interested in the game and ended up turning it off. Dunno what the difference is.

the bbc 4k UHD stream has a wider camera angle compared to the SD/HD bbc feed aswell you see more of the pitch all the time

Yup the PS4 pro does support UHD streaming in iPlayer. I've got a Samsung TV that doesn't support hlg and it works fine playing the UHD stream through the PS4.

never had an issue getting a slot mate and ive joined before games and during a game no problem

It did go to VAR.

Though I do think they are quite poor at making clear what exactly has gone to VAR, needs some on screen graphics to clearly state it's under review.
