Agreed about Sterling. He's had enough opportunities, maybe he'd do better coming on as a sub when legs are tired, in any case.
Don't understand people knocking Sterling after tonight. He was one of our best players. Poor to the point of non-existance in the first two matches, he redeemed himself tonight, imo. Kane, on the other hand, was oddly absent. Almost every time there was a chance in the box, Kane wasn't there. He's supposed to be England's star striker - strike, for goodness sake. Still, he played more than well enough in the other games, and captained excellently tonight - staying calm in the face of Colombian provocation and keeping the team level headed.
In any case, if you don't play Sterling, then who? Vardy is a pure striker, and needs a quality of service that is missing from the England team right now. Rashford is a promising talent but, for now, isn't the finished product. He can put together some lovely moves to dodge a defender or two but he doesn't connect it into goalscoring opportunities.
