Giggs was a great player, but Bale is truly, truly world class and should have been the best player in the world. Go and watch a highlight video of Bale on YouTube; his pace, strength, dribbling and shooting were on another level. I lost respect for him when he didn’t leave Real when he wasn’t getting game time. He should have left and gone to another big team and smashed it. He decided to take the easy life sat on the bench and playing golf. Probably the biggest waste of a ridiculous level of talent I’ve seen.

Bale did for a relatively short period of time. Greatness is defined by longevity and Giggs did for much longer. You ask Ferguson who he’d rather have and I know it’ll be Giggs.
