FIFA World Cup 2022 Group H ** spoilers ** (Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, S. Korea)

But the whole reaon there was +10mins was because of ball out of play situations in the second half. If ball out of play happens in added time, surely there should be more added time. ;)
theyve already said the excessive added time is for goal celebrations predominantly

I'm not looking at it from that POV. When the ref allowed the Korea players to attack one last time, the corner is part of that play. Hence the Korea players being upset. Had the ref blown when the ball was in the middle of the pitch, the Korea players wouldn't be complaining

Refs never blow during corners. When was the last time you saw a ref blow during a corner, they dont do it

the added time was up before the ball went out for corner

So if there was still time on his clock when the ball went out for the corner, the referee will generally allow this last attack. However, it may be that the clock had PREVIOUSLY expired on the attack and the referee was allowing that attack to complete. In such a case, if the clock had expired PRIOR TO the ball going out for the corner kick, then the referee may consider this complete and call the end of half
A referee does not have to wait for a corner kick, goal kick, free kick, or any other kick, except a penalty kick.

so your admitting yourself that the corner shouldnt be given

thank you end of my discussion over this

`He should have blown in the middle of the pitch, he didn't. He allowed a new attack to take place, hence the corner should have been allowed. It's highly unusual to blow then, you dont see it often and for good reason ;)
