He’s been good all tournament. People just can’t seem to work out how a striker can be good if he isn’t scoring goals.

Saw a really good interview with Drogba the other day, about when he started at Chelsea and had to adapt his game to hold play up and allow the wingers in. Apparently before one match Mourinho said that Drogba was up top, but none of the wingers were playing well enough to "feed" off him.
Think it's similar with England. Kane works brilliantly with Son. It looks a bit more cumbersome for England where we don't have anyone as clinical as Son, and they don't play together every week.

Why is it when the camera pans on most nations fans they either look pretty damn cool, or the women tend to be attractive. Pans to ours and they're either fat chavs or drunken muppets?

Certainly when on top of their game, but their performance has been really variable.
It's easier when you're not particularly interested in the game
