FIFA10 Ultimate Team

Quick question guys as I haven't read anything about this but quite enjoyed the '09 version...

Can you play unranked matches against friends now?
 
i just cant seem to get into it lol, i mean setting up the correct team, its going from bad to worse lol, now ive just changed my mind and all im doing is building a full england squad, youngsters of course, all bronze, and ill see how i do with them
 
Got Simon Church upfront from the start, seems pretty decent!

My kit's are red/white stripes home and white away. Badge is an Austrian team!
 
Got some decent players in my 2 gold packs, just played 2 game online, won one and lost one, some guy had saha and his pace is so stupid, he ran 70 yards and beat 2 players.
 
and ive come to the conclusion that Team chemistry means absolute jack....yeh

its a bit fo a joke so far if im honest, i dont know whats going on, xbox live i hardly lost a game, ive played 11 games and lost 9 on this stupid thing, i must be missing something!
 
I just received a free gold pack I think, I don't know why either.

I bought one gold pack just to start me off, played a couple of games, then exited Ultimate Team. Went back to UT after 10 mins or so & went to the store where I received a gold pack that I hadn't purchased? It just came up straight away without selecting anything. Am I missing something?

If you played UT in Fifa 09 you'll receive 2 free Gold Packs as a thank you from EA.
 
I never played UT09 but thought I'd give it a go this time around. Don't fully understand it at the minute.

Can you pick your players at the start?
How do you spend coins?
Can you upgrade your players stats?

1. Nope. You get a starter pack of random cards with everything you need to play, although you may need to play players out of position.

2. You can either spend coins on packs in the store or to buy individual cards in the trading section.

3. You can boost stats for one game only. Last year it was permanent, but there were people with teams of 99 rated players.

So I'm guessing if I want to offload a player I put him up for trade and someone might buy him off me if they need a player in that position?

If he's just plain crap (as most of them at the start are) then I discard them?

Yeah, but put them up anyway. Someone can always use them even if only for 150 coins.
 
Got to play 4 games in a tournament last night, was good :D, for anyone saying its too easy to play the comp all you do is on the main menu (the first one before you select ultimate team) just go into game options and change the computers difficulty, i bet your still all on amateur :D put it to world class and if you win you get a hell of a lot more points :D
