***FIFA11 PS3 10v10 Club***

enjoyable but mixed few games last night. prob should have gone to bed earlier im feeling the burn now.

maybe the rotating position each match doesnt help because by the time u get familiar with the role you have to switch to a new one? if you had 2x games in 1 position it would mean less time editing your pro and more time to get used to what your meant to be doing?

but also some people are much better in some positions than others; like Bailey, has a really fast skillful player and as a player bailey can run past people and deliver, he's a good 'proper' winger whos gonna go forward and create chances, Nani style.

JoJo with his purple rinse Fro is pretty good up front and seemed to score a lot. like the Felani of fifa.

killswitch has skill and creativity, prob ideal as a CM or CAM if a formation can allow it.

Baplad looked good up front. Poly - well er.. good luck with that;)!!!

I did say yesterday, if I could I would sack myself :p

Woeful play - doubt Ill get much better without an Eureka moment...

Cant see why we cant - just not been thought of before, though I guess its the transition from CM > Wing > ST thats the issue since you only play the wing once consecutively currently. A counter suggestion would be to lump the Wing together and change the rotate from this
RM>CM>CM>LM>RS>LS to CM>CM>RM>LM>RS>LS?
Might be a complication too far as the rotate somehow already confuses people...

nah u looked good in the first couple of games and then maybe not as good in the last one or so. but i mean i dont think anyone was showering themselves in glory by that point. we were a bit workman like in our approach.

Nice to see you play last night Nick, I think that's a good suggestion and the simple solution like you said, is to just play 2 games in each position instead of 1. I don't think there's anything complicated about that and I think it's a good idea.

I get quite easily tired of FIFA currently - especially considering most of its VP building.

Im definitely not a Winger - the way I play FIFA is usually through the middle so more used to passing to people than passing people...

it was good to get involved - i was just %%%%%%% with myself if i did a bad pass or lost the ball - and went into Stevie G headless chicken 'recover the ball at all costs mode'. Sadly, you all missed my best goal, as only me JoJo and Bailey carried one on not realisiting what had happened - we won 2-1 with a bobchenko supertopcornervolley winnner too:/ should have saved that one as proof that im not really incapable.

steady on - it gets complicated i mean just because i didnt know where to go after LS, the next logical position down was the bench and i prob deserved it for that one. think i got 5.3 or something. simply awful. dreadful at times.

I didnt mean you ;) - weve just had to already explain it too many times to particular individuals over more than a single session and the added complication was just my suggestion to lump RM with LM in the rotate so it literally is CM > Wing > ST and at each of those positions you would end up playing it twice (CM x2; RW/LW; ST x2) automatically...

Dont think I explained that too well...

Also while I remember can people please ensure they are 80 OVR in the accomp book for their favoured position at least? I know its a bit of effort but it helps...

And another thing before Kill says it, if a player drops out between the matching screen and us playing - can we all quit to pick them up and start again - usually its not their fault they were dropped by FIFA matching and it takes seconds to find another match. Usually someone notices and does a quick chat/comm msg...

I changed my VP to a CAM playmaker last night to try and improve my passing.

Steam just went FUBAR for me so just to touch on what we were talking about. You can unlock the accomplishments against the CPU in a club practice match, if you really want. Personally I find that mode a bit of a waste of time as the CPU seems absolutely adept in every area of the pitch apart from attack where they often miss sitters. It makes it even harder if a CPU any is used because it's then our crap generics against Iniesta, Fabregas, Xavi, Cambiasso etc...

You're probably better off just sticking the game on semi-pro, putting the half length up a little bit and then grinding the crap out of it. If you need a break I think Poly said he'd be on a little later around 2pm and well... I'll be around as always if you need a head to head or a club game online. I'm looking at PES as a genuine alternative to Fifa's single player though as it really is a bag of crap.

BTW, I used the hospitality thing at the start. This edits my contols to match my FIFA 10 preferences. Should I check my assists and stuff?

What have you guys got it set to?

Glad to hear it. :)

The very same. I'd love to find the quote where it was basically "everyone left and joined my club because of you". :p

I never blamed you. You said people was greedy etc...yet you was the one trying skill...which failed and then you quit out the game because you kept getting tackled. That was after you left and joined my club also. If it was your fault why would i let you in the break away club?

Also it's isn't my idea to make a break away club. It's the people who also don't like selfish players. They was fed up and wanted to get a bunch or regulars who are unselfish and play often.

No idea, just seemed like in the other thread you were blaming, or hinting that it was my fault as to why the 360 club broke up when really, I think it disbanded for the same reasons the current one has. No rules, everyone allowed to do what they want and people coming in who we barely know, inviting 10 of their mates who refuse to listen to anyone, it just ruins it for everyone. Anyway, I'm sorry the club broke up again and hope you get some decent games in with your new one.

I think that while I can appreciate you just want clubs to be a casual thing and have some laughs, you still appreciate that there needs to be some ground rules at least otherwise it descends into chaos? I don't know about skills and then leaving the game or being selfish, you can ask anyone here, I haven't quit in the middle of a game in over 800 matches and I don't think anyone here would describe me as selfish... No hard feelings against you personally, I was just a bit annoyed/miffed that you seemed to put the blame on me but maybe that wasn't the case after all.

I never blamed you at all. It was a few others and i was asked to make a club away from that. I wasn't the manager of the old club. we got a group of people together who wanted to make a seperate club for people who are willing to swap around and have a laugh. Surely there is nothing wrong with that?

I never blamed you for the break up of any club.

You did quit out but i think it was at a stage when you was getting fed up with fifa or something as i didn't see you much after. You could have swapped over to the ps3 shortly after.

I appreciate a club needs rules and i did state them, but people just disregard them and do as they please and i cba with telling over 20/30 people swap around over and over again. If i wanted to be OTT with it all i would be but i didn't want that kind of club. I just wanted people who are willing to follow rules, not do as they please.

I now have a club with a good bunch of players who always swap around and have a laugh, and they now have a club to do as they please.

Win Win.

Fair enough. That was pretty much why I got ****ed off with the 360 club. The sheer amount of people is just too much for 1 or 2 people to realistically be "in charge" of. And by in charge I don't mean boss around, I mean make sure that everyone is having a turn in each position like we do in the PS3 club. From what I can tell this year the 360 club has had problems with people just refusing to move to a different position, playing striker every game and then playing deaf on voice comms etc. Having much smaller clubs like the PS3 club and your new club makes this much easier, especially when the PS3 club has had the same core members for the past 2 or 3 years. The way we do things might look a bit harsh to other people but it does work.
