Fight Night Round 4

Okay this has the same really bad flaw that fnr3 has.

It's like a rocky film you can just spam punches over and over and over without getting tired so basically every online match is like fnr3 where both players are constantly punching which is rubbish and unrealistic in my view.

You should be limited by a stamina meter but in this case it doesn't seem to matter at all.

Based on the fact every online game will be lame just like fnr3 is and a glorified button masher I will be avoiding this like the plague.

I liked FN1, Loved 2 and 3, this one, hmm, I dunno, something doesn't seem as good from the demo, looks great, absolutely stunning, but just doesn't seem very evolved gameplay wise, maybe I need to give it more time, but it just didn't really do it for me as much as I had hoped! :(

Fight Night 3 was nothing like that though. If you tried that on someone good you'd get destroyed. I'm sure this will be the same, it'll just take a few months to get half decent at it.

Stamina does matter. If you land a heavy punch when someone's Stamina is low it hurts more and more chance of getting stunned. Therefore if someone is constantly spamming punches you can punish them easily.

Wow.. the 'in action' video was great with the side-by-side comparisons. As said loved FNR3 and still play it regularly with mates; always some epic fights! The attention to detail in this new one as described in the video referring to the new 'physics' engine they've developed looks to be a very interesting new development. Looking forward to playing this with a new style of game play.

been playing this emo quite a bit, just not sure, if anything it feels a bit to quick, also, punches dont seem to have the same impact, when you land a haymaker on FN3 it feels like you are taking the other guys head off, here it just feels a bit weedy.

Ill stick with it, hopefully there is still a bit of tweaking left to do.

This for me too, the best one is still fight night one. I have just hit the guy constantly with jabs and straights without getting hit with a full stamina bar and it takes an age to get the other guys health down.

When you go to town on another fighter like that it should wear them down a lot faster than that. 1 or 2 seconds paused and he was right back up there with the health.

The career looks better and have more depth but the gameplay is just as light as FN3. I will wait for a more indepth review.

Has anyone else had trouble with the 360 demo? Mine is just locking up on the initial splash screen, eventually not letting me access the Xbox Guide menu, forcing me to turn the 360 off and try again. Tried a few times now and still no luck!

Apparently there's some bug that does this, no fix unless you put the demo on CD and take your HDD off. They don't know why it only affects some units.
