I kinda recognise the still but can't think if I've seen it or maybe it was something similar. I suppose if it was that traumatic I would've remembered it.

grave of the fireflies is the saddest film i've ever seen. i cried like a baby at the end of that.

Of course I could mention Kanon, Kimi gz Nozomu Eien and She the Ultimate Weapon but they are series not films.
First time I ever saw that episode, I was simply stunned and shocked. I sat there for ages after the episode finished, sitting there thinking.
Some episodes get my every time, and I can't help but cry.
i'm a huge björk fan and i haven't even watched it yet.i must get around to it soon.
Do it. I got the DVD for about £3 couple of months ago, brilliant, disturbing and somewhat depressing film.
Guess it's classed as a musical as well, so it is therefore the only musical I don't hate.

I dunno, films that make men cry?! You ladies cry at films way more than me
Not to say that I don't have a soul though, I do cry at some films but most of the stuff here I would say I was moved by but certainly not to tears. It takes a lot for a film to make me cry. Films that have:
The Green Mile (the scene where he is watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers at the cinema)
The Sand Pebbles (Where Jake has to kill Po-Han)
Forrest Gump (Where Forrest is talking to Jennys grave)
... I am Legend 'Please say hello to me', no tears but it was close!
