Final Build Advice.

I am not too sure I will overclock right off the bat as I do not know a clue about it. Would anybody change anything on Fulax's build?

in that case nothing, if you could have squeezed another £100 i would have said a slightly better case, cpu cooler and motherboard.

But as its £1100 then Fulax build is about as good as it gets

Your card will be overclocked out of the box, so no worries there. Pushing it further is extremely simple - when you're ready, just pop into the 780 owners thread on these forums and someone will get you started.

I would like to thank everybody who has helped me, I have received advice from around 3-4 different forums/friends and the amount of builds I have been recommended was incredible and sometimes plain stupid.

I think I will be going with your Fulax, is "Gainward" a decent way to go or should I change that?

As Doomed said, the Gigabyte card has the better cooler and they have a UK-based RMA service if anything goes wrong. The benefit of the Gainward would be that it is overclocked higher out of the box.

If you'll be overclocking further yourself (as I said, it isn't difficult) then you might as well go for the Gigabyte; if not, the Gainward's extra out of the box performance could swing it.

It's your call, in the end. Personally I suppose I'd go with Gigabyte for the RMA service.

I have heard bad things with the Gigabyte, I think I might go for the gainward as it's OC'ed, is there support bad, if I have a problem do I contact OCUK or Gainward?

Actually, I seem to remember OcUK having some kind of express 48-hour RMA service with Gainward with a month of purchasing. Something like that. I'm not sure if it is still running, but I'll try to find the thread.

EDIT: Gotcha. Here and here

Check with customer service for more details/if it is still on.

Hopefully I do not need it!

Turns out it doesn't say anything about a time limit, so that looks pretty good. As you say, you hopefully (and probably) won't need it, but it's nice to have as a safety net.

Thank you overclockers, I cannot wait!

Shame I only saw the thread now the order is placed, would have said gone with the gigabyte z87-oc, 750-850w psu, the sapphire 280x toxic and a better case then added a 2nd 280x down the line.
