It looks fine, if you are not planning to overclock the i5 in the future then that board is alright.

For future reference, don't bother with a 3570k in the future without a Z77 board, you would be better off just getting a i5 3350p, since both are pretty much identical except a 3570k can be OC'd like a mofo.

I also really like that case, my mate has one :D

I honestly don't understand the specifics but why do I need a Z77? I don't think I'll ever overclock. :)

And I'm already on a tight budget so need to save pennies.

It gives you the option of overclocking if you feel you want it in the future :)

A few reasons though:

Gigabyte board is off better quality and better warranty
Supports PCIE-3 (if that interests you)
Native USB 3 and SATA 3 (unsure if the B75 uses 3rd party USB 3 and SATA 3 tech like the h61 which is slower)
PCI lanes
4 DIMM slots

You choice though, if you want to save money then you can grab the B75.

Yeah I think I'll just stick with the normal board. :)

I will end up putting an i5 in there but I won't be overclocking and I won't really be in any rush to do so. :)

So the above spec will certainly be able to play modern games on decent settings with smooth FPS?

1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot (PCIE1: x16 mode)
- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (PCIE2: x4 mode)
- 2 x PCI slots
- Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™

1 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connector by Intel® B75, supports NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug functions
- 2 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connectors by ASMedia ASM1061, support NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug functions

Does`nt have USB 3.0 header on the mobo.

Yes, one of my systems is a Z77, i3 3220 and a 7850, runs skyrim, bf3 etc all on ultra 1080p.

Can someone confirm the above is all good and I definitely can't get anything better/different for the money? :)

Is the Z9 the best case to go for for the price?

Cheers

Howcome you won't go for the cheaper MSI OC 7850? It will perform better I imagine and 3 year warranty. Oh it's back up in price, ignore.
