Final Fantasy 7 for pc

It works up to when you have the flashback with sephiroth when facing the dragon, then a bug kicks in which makes all of sephiroths attacks miss, which means a level 1 cloud has to beat like a level 50 dragon which is 100% impossible.

This only happens if you edit your savegame with the Jenova program.

As for patches, all you need is v1.02 unless you also have problems at the races.

cheers ive downloaded the v1.02 patch and also the chocobo patch just in case. I was wondering if you must put the patches on before you start a new game or can i play through the game then put the patches on when i encounter a serious problem or will that delete my saved game

that's rubbish. the music's crap, the FMV's are low res and the speed on the sub games is/are screwed up on the pc version. The ps version kicks it all over the place.

Music - Fixable, you can download SoundFonts to make them inline with the PS.
FMVs - Actually the PC versions are direct copies of the PS ones, so the FMVs are pretty much exactly the same. They look really bad because the PC version can be played at a higher res than the FMVs.
MiniGames - This only happens when using Direct3D, seems like EIDOS forgot about a frame limiter, playing it in DirectDraw at 640x480 (which all of today's PCs should be capable of) will mean they run at normal speed.

I prefer the sharpness of the ingame graphics on the PC version though, which for me makes all the above "flaws" moot for me. :)

why dont you install the drivers?
why was it horrible its final fantasy 7 :)
Is it cause the controls are horrible well u can change them, cant u.

The drivers muck up the pad and it wont work with some games, its a known problem on here.

Do u have it for pc and did it work ok with the patches or didnt you need them.

Yeah I've had it since it came out. It works fine on XP for me with direct3d enabled on my 9800pro. Using the 1.02 patch, chocobo patch and the hi-res patch.

As for the save games, I usually start fresh whenever I play, but I don't see why they wouldn't work as the patches don't alter them.
