Map feels a bit like the Witcher 3 to be honest with how they've gone on the open world
It works, but I have to switch off from comparing it to the original.
I'm absolutely baffled with some of the lighting/shadow stuff though, it destroys the graphics from a technical point of view.
I've literally been in a warehouse that was full of light without a single light in sight, everything just looks flat because of it

Just enjoy the journey. Forget the negatives. If you’re a ff7 player from back in the day, try to look past the bad parts
I'd be surprised if it's out before FF16, which has yet to launch on PC. I'd say at least a year from now, possibly with timed Epic exclusivity if the first one is anything to go by.
I'd love to be wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.
Agreed. I'd say about 2 years before it hits all PC platforms.

Good excuse to buy a ps5 honestly.
Totally worth it for me, I've not enjoyed a game as much as Rebirth in years.
I was quite enjoying FF16 for the time that I spent with it too, so I'll be going back to that eventually.

Not bothering me in the least when on my TV, but I don't sit near to the thing. If I was on my monitor I'd not be happy at all in terms of framerate, but it's a super consistent 30. The same stands if you go for performance mode at 60, it's very consistent in that regard.
The texture wise, there are definitely issues here and there but in my case I need to stop and make an effort to find them. Overall the game looks gorgeous, but I will admit that I'm a huge fan of FF7 and I may be riding straight past a number of problems simply by nature of getting to see a world I loved as a kid remade.

Yes, but I am not fine with textures from 2005 personally. Each to their own. Shrug.
I'm sure many are happy to wait to play the 'definitive' version and others are more than happy with the current one. Choice is a great thing to have.

Is it 30 or is there a performance 60 option?
30 for graphics, 60 for performance with weaker visuals.
As I mentioned earlier, it's actually very consistent with both so there's not much in the way of annoying frame drops etc.
