*** Final Fantasy XIII ***

I got the battle time down to 30 seconds but you also lose time walking to the statue, activating and waiting before being able to walk.

But it is an easy way to gather some money for upgrades but I think for serious amounts of money Adamatioses are better but you need to be VERY strong or have a lot of patience with the Death spell. (but I haven't done this yet)

Q for the advanced farmers:
Would it be possible to take on a Adamatiose with ~7500hp spamming Death in the same configuration as the one for Mission 55?

His stomp move hits for about 9-12k damage. Could be possible with high damage reduction. You could use a summon to knock him down and spam death, soon as he gets back up pause the game and retry before kicking the bucket.

But using a summon means the TP will have to be gained again by other fights.

Maybe with auto protect accessories?

Oh well, I think I will try to kill one tonight and if I get killed I will leave it till later.

can someone tell me the quickest way to get to Eden from the Steppes?

also does anyone know where i can get Hermes Sandals ? (to upgrade to sprint shoes)

One way to avoid a stomp is when a Commando or Ravager like Fang and Lightning jumps up into the air and slashes the Adamaxxxxxx's head with melee attacks. Course this method can only last you so long.

Take the Teleport stone to Vallis Meda (sp?) Base Camp and there is the teleport machine to Eden (next to the teleport stone you just arrived on).

There is 2 teleport stones is Steppes you could use. One just beyond where the King Behemoth and Big Dog fight (northern exit) and one near the entrance to the area (south of the map).

Upgrade a Tetratic Crown to * and dismantle to get Hermes Sandals, upgrade Hermes Sandals to * and use a Perovskite to get Sprint Shoes.

Upgrade a Tetratic Tiara to * and dismantle to get Sprint shoes.

But save before trying as it might not always work.

nice one dutch guy thanks :)

so now comes the next question, easiest way of obtaining the tetradic crown ? :p

Spam Mission 7. His common drop is the crown, his rare is the tiara. I tried 20 battles and got zip and gave up. I already had some Crowns and Tiaras from treasure chests, but I just wanted more.

At least that is 100 Bomb Cores which are pretty good for cheap weapon/accessory upgrades. :D

Don't suppose anyone has a site that lists the experience required to upgrade all weapons from Tier 1 to Tier 2? Not bothered about Tier 2 to Tier 3 since I'm only doing 1 weapon each for the Treasure Hunter trophy. I got all of the figures I currently have from ff-13.info website but I think some of the EXP numbers and maybe their catalysts are wrong (just want to double check, as it's a lot of gil to waste otherwise). I'll double check the catalysts with rp2000's nice excel sheet, but still need double checking for the experience requirements.

Takes me about 16secs to kill them all using com/com/com but prob 45 overall with the walking/battle screen.

The Adamantoise are ok I suppose, but for me the drop rate is way too low, and it takes maybe a dozen or more tries for Death to work. I have Marlboro wand at star level, conn and col catalogues, and Sprint shoes on all chars but it still is hit n miss. Killed about 15 but only got 1 Plat ingot and 1 trap.

It's wrong on a number of things, that site. Sahz's Rigels weapon is listed as 21 levels to * on the first tier, and I'm currently wielding lv 24 Rigels. Also, a couple of the weapons are listed as having exactly the same end abilities, though this may actually be right.

Are you getting Fang to shove debuffs on? In particularly Slow/Curse, apparantly Curse drastically improves the chance of success with Death. I thought it was heresay, but it does appear to help a lot, normally only takes me between 4 - 6 tries for it to kill the Adamtortoise/toise.

Ack, looks like I'm going to have to find a more reliable source for the experience required before I start buying loads of Ultracompact Reactors. Thanks for the info :)

farming mission 7 now, wish me luck :)

just found a ribbon too on the chocobo about 5 mins ago so that was quite lucky, are they good to keep?

If you want the trophy, then you'll have to upgrade it to a Super Ribbon. Otherwise, I personally never bother using it, not many fights that I need something like that for. Oh, and good luck :D
