Hah, I never even noticed that til you pointed it out and why am I not surprised it was you who did so :p.

In regards to the size of the cases, thats just stupid. DVD is the standard people like, I like to be able to replace cases if they break and my DVD's will look out of place next to them, much like JUMPURS I'm anal about where I put my TV shows, Comedy, Films etc..

Yeap, the only thing is with HD-DVD also doing it, allegidly with worse boxes, its not really something we can really really moan about lol
Still will make my collection look funny, although will show off the BluRay collection easily lol

Yeap the power is internal on the PS3. would like to see the 360 comparison pics include the power brick tbh

So you'd rather have a larger console than a power pack to shove at the back of the TV....right?

lol :/

tbh it doesn't bother me either way, but for all the size it adds i think its probably a bit neater having it in the console. Like i have said many many times on here, its going on a shelf on my TV stand, and with it not adding that much extra space its not an issue. If i want to take my 360 anywhere, even just downstairs, i need to fish around and get my power pack, the PS3 i got dozens of kettle leads laying around. And with PS3 is the same weight as the 360 plus power pack.

I thought the PS3 was still supposed to be heavier than the 360 and its PSU combined?

What was the quote a while back about not being able to pick it up with one hand?

Just found the comparison

http://www.gamepro.com/gamepro/international/games/features/83488.shtml

Says the 360 is slightly over 11pounds and the PS3 is slightly over 11 pounds.
Although the 360 weight includes controller, the PS3 controller weights next to nothing from what everybody says. Gonna be talking about maybe a pound worth of difference at most?

Fair enough, cant be as heavy as people are making out then. I don't really find the 360 and its PSU that heavy.

I think the fact that the PS3 pas is light is down to there not being any motors for vibration in there, personally I would prefer it to have a bit of weight especially if its going to be used for motion sensing.

Yeap i know its wierd how people take some things and blow it all out of proptortion, on all sides tbh

Think the controller will also be light because of the battery too, its not 2 AA's hanging on the bottom.

Personally I prefer a heavier controller (though not too heavy) as I like to feel like I have something substantial in my hands (come on Gord, bring it on!) and as a result love the Xbox360's pad. Several hands-on reviews I've read on the PS3 state it's controller at possibly being 'too light', though I'll only really know when I get one.

As for it being the same weight then I'm happy, these 'hands-on' reviews had stated on it being incredibly heavy.

cant stand light control pads, then again i cant stand light mice, thats wyh i cant use MS ones :(
xbox360 wireless controller is perfect weight for me, anything lighter feels weird =[
starting to like the ps3 looks a bit more now, still don't like the price though :(

I love my 360 but i must admit im impressed with the design of the PS3, it's 'power brick' is internal, it has a great mahoosive heatsink/fan that is almost silent and it's still not much bigger than the 360...kudos to sony tbh.

Tut tut, you have left out Wii in size comparison!
