Ah yes. This is the same chap who had the GTX 295 Mars cards and had to send them back as they were overheating :) Then he went to 5870's. At the time not liquid cooled.
 
not to sound weird but that looks CRAP! looks better here on a lowely 8800GTS with custom settings, jesus i can't believe how average that looks for being enthusiast settings...guess im not missing anything except torrid performance! seriously though guys, only fools play crysis with the rubbish standard configurations, they are utterly hopeless and somehow **** away performance. :rolleyes:

it's uploaded to youtube which means of course it's going to look horrible, even if you set the res to 3840x2160 (which it supports BTW)
 
thats true, however i am generally not a fan of crytek's standard settings anyway they seem inefficient somehow. find i get better graphics and performance doing it myself personally, sometimes the gains are fairly impressive. not sure where the perfomance goes in their standard settings to be honest, custom HDR settings work wonders in crysis, as well as SSAO in reasonable quantities.
 
Fair enough, was unable to see you tube vid at work so didn't realise the settings he had it on. Fair play! If you got the money, awesome :D

The dude loves to constantly love part names. It's like each sentence is made up of product names made by a PR company! "My four-way superclocked 480s with my EVGA classified lalalala"

I bet chicks dig it though.

EDIT: ah I just found the "acceptable performance in heaven two oh", love it!

the worlds first 100% hamster powered PC, thats the best idea i have heard all day! though hamsters tend to just spontaneously die for no apparent reason sometimes so crashing could occur due to lack of power. its quite windy round here a lot of the time and me mate once tried wind powered PC using car alternator, radiator fan and some wiring! he underestimated how much power alternators put out and fried the PC, good job it was pointless old thing :D
