Finally the lounge...

i think its awsome but my main thing is that as the front looks great i think the rear speakers are to big and quite ugly, if there the best of the best speakers then fair enough, you have spent a fortune hiding other stuff (centre speaker and drop down screen) but have failed to hide the rest.

Awsome exstension as well.

I agree with you on the back speakers. When they first went up I was contemplating taking them down and taking them back to exchange for something smaller/bipolar. After a while I got used to them.

I couldnt put them any lower because of the door.
They sound amazing for the money.
You dont see them when you walk into the room.
You dont see them when you are sitting facing forward.

I do agree that they are a bit unsightly, but small price to pay when you dont actually see them when sitting in the room.

Hi ramdor,

What sub you using in that set up?

Looks sweet! :)

I use some cdm2se's and a cdm centre speaker as the rears for my surround. Look god awful but sound awesome.

I agree - if they're not in your line of sight when sat in the room then they can be lived with.

if there not in the eye line then nothing to worry about, awsome.

To hide the rears could use speakers like these from Linn Custom 2K
I think KEF also do discreet in wall stuff as well.

Are you going to put some thick heavy curtains up ?
Probably a good idea to help control what I guess is quite a lively sounding room. Or perhaps some of these, which done right can look good as well

Hi ramdor,

I am using two Q-Acoustics 1000s active subs. They are either side of the 3 seater at the back of the room.

Speakers are...

1050 front floor standers
1000c center
1020 rears+sides
1000s subs

Nice setup, do you have a problem with the hard floor?

The sound is a bit lively in there, but will be adding box prints/etc to the walls at some point, and a 2nd rug.
