I will probably play this around League of Legends but that will still mean I should be on a reasonable amount.

Just got a beta invite myself, but I'm not sure if I'll play it as my CPU and RAM is below the specs in the email, and they specifically say they haven't done any optimizing for low end systems yet
That sucks! What's the recommended specs?

Im on a relatively low end system, dual core E6850 at stock, 4870 1Gb plus on a 27" screen and im doing fine on medium. Bit shuddery every now and then.
Graphics wise I don't have much of a problem, I've got a new 6850 which is limited by my CRT to 1280x1024 so that isn't stressed too hard, but my 2GB of DDR2 (was 4GB but 1 of the modules was dead on arrival), and my 2 GHz C2D really limit a lot of stuff as so much is CPU dependant and requires a lot of RAM.
according to the email the min spec is 2.4GHz dual core, 4GB ram and an geforce 8800 series or higher.
I had the firewall forum site (logged in as me) open as standard at home when I open chrome. So it would show I was lurking everyday - I believe they keep track of that
Bah, I was about to give out my firefall key but it turns out that the beta keys they give out are tied to the email address of the person who gets it. Luckily they say they regularly give keys to current beta users when they want to expand the beta so that they can hand them out to others.
This game is brilliant !! picked the engineer class as the tribes 'turret monkey' in me insisted and it's great fun.
At first I didn't have a clue what was going on or what I was doing but once you get used to the controls and research it really opens the game up.
In this current beta form it runs smooth maxed out, the movement and fighting is fast and fluid.
