Interviews, the fact that they still talk about it despite it being long gone. You just have to look at Nathan getting Firefly references into his latest show Castle. Summer has always said that she would jump at the chance to work with Whedon again. Alan talks about Firefly a lot in interviews and I believe he's involved in the upcoming graphic novel based on Wash.
One event that sums up the actors attitude towards the show is a convention called Flanvention. It was cancelled at the last moment after many fans had already travelled long distances so what did the cast do? They turned up to party anyway and bought several other people along from other Whedon shows who weren't even connected to Firefly!
