Yet this was Firefox when it was first officially launched. Now Firefox is becoming what the Mozilla browser was originally.

But the truth is the performance difference of x64 is most pronounced on slower/older chips i.e. every laptop around. It's a shame they abandoned and official x64 build with ff8 when the bots churn out a new nightly build daily, as it's not simply faster it's smoother - especially on laptops.
Someone said a while ago that while everything linux and most things mac are x64 in the browser department, 90% of machines are windows running on an x64 cpu yet people spend the bulk of their time in a x86 browser.

Beta of Firefox 11 is already out too
Does anyone find firefox has become slow/buggy of late? I'm really struggling with it in terms of speed. It hangs often as well. I think I have an issue rather than it just plain sucking as I have used firefox for years as my main browser. Time to try chrome? I like the plugins in firefox.
