Firefox 14

Is anybody having issues with HTML5 Youtube videos almost crashing Firefox? On two machines, after hanging for about 5-15 seconds, Firefox asks if I want to stop a script and it might play the video if I allow the script to continue.

I've disabled HTML5 in Youtube for now, but I expected it to be better than Flash. :( I'm starting to think Firefox is the problem and not Flash or HTML5.

It's not just you, i'm having the same problem.

Just to put your mind at rest, I pulled that image from the Firefox australis addon page. I havent actually got it installed.

He makes some good stuff.

Regarding the australis theme:

You can either install the userstyle via stylish:

http://userstyles.org/styles/61129/australis-styles

Or the theme for firefox:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/australis/?src=search

And if you want the classic/rectangle tabs, install this userstyle (only works with that firefox theme installed though):

http://userstyles.org/styles/51663/australis-classic-tabs

Nice, though shame it can't coincide with Stratiform.

ive update ff 14.0 but dont see any change so im using this as spare as im now latest version of google chrome cos it seem so fast and changed to chrome as my default browser....nice feature,etc.. im still using both at the moment

Ion Monkey might hit by the end of the year too.

It always is 'might' with Mozilla. Development seems to move at a glacial pace. I've been waiting about 18 months for them to figure out how to do tab animations.

A rapid release cycle makes no difference if you don't actually release features more rapidly.

Anyone getting slow responding script pop-ups with Youtube HTML5? I never had this problem on 13.01. It only happens directly within the site.

Every bleeding time I load a third tab. Need a flash update or for firefox to at least recognise I am in the HTML5 Beta....

I can't get over how Firefox is fast turning into what the Mozilla browser use to be before Firefox made it's debut.

im glad Im not the only one, even If i scroll down on my favorites its slow as hell sometimes takes 5-10 secs before it catches up.

I tried to go back to IE but hated the favorites, with firefox u can but dividers and section your bookmarks, and you got that side bar for bookmarks.

This is the only reason I aint gone to IE/opera or chrome, I like all my bookmarks visible and accessible instantly.
