Firefox 3.5 RC1

The main Firefox page just gave me 3.5 as the automatically selected download, if that's any use to anyone :) Upgrade went perfectly, and I'm happy to be using it again (I did use it in beta, but it was too buggy for my needs at the time).

Weird... I've upgraded Firefox to 3.5 and now my Thunderbird install (3.0b2) won't let me write mail! If I click on Write, or Reply etc, I get the usual box popping up and can write in the To, Subject and other lines, but the actual text box is empty. Clicking on it yields no cursor, and hitting letters produces no text. If it's a Forward none of the original email text appears either...

I've reinstalled (i.e. over the old one, same version) and it's not changed. Just about to try an uninstall then clean install. Weird how Firefox would mess this up though?? Been using this Thunderbird beta for yonks btw, it's not a new install and it's worked perfectly until the minute after the Firefox upgrade completed. :(

They're not connected at all, so it's odd indeed.

Very much so. I'd tried restarting the computer, reinstalling over the previous install etc to no avail. A complete removal (along with manually deleting the Thunderbird folders in %AppData% and Program Files x86) and reinstall has fixed it now though. *shrug*

EDIT: Not to worry :o I received an email from some guy at the time I was upgrading Firefox... I've just gone to reply to him (again) and the same thing happened. I've eliminated it down to his email - if I hit reply, it crashes out. If I restart Thunderbird and try a different email, all's fine until I open his again. Clearly something dodgy with that particular mail. Ah well. Least it wasn't Firefox lol :D
