Firefox 3.5 RC1

Well unless you have a crystal ball and know how many RCs there'll be and how long it take to spin each RC, there isn't a definite answer...

Nice of you to miss out the next part though "...probably not that long away" - definitely before September.

I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere but I thought I'll ask u guys first :)

Whats this little grey box thing that shows up in the bottom left corner of the mouse pointe in the new Firefox? As soon as you move it goes away then it shows up for a few seconds and then disappears again.

Yeah never used to have it before FF 3.5.

As i said if you move the mouse it goes away if you scroll with teh wheel it also disappears.

NOOOOOOO (like Luke...)

Hmm might do that not sure if its only happening on my work lappy or on my home pc too. On the work one I installed the beta 4 and it did it in a separate folder whereas on the home pc I installed the RC1 which installed over the old 3.x version so will have a look and see if it happens at home.

If it is only on the work one I can live with that as i only have a week to go on Tuesday before my redundancy kicks in so my leaving present will be to set my laptop to run DBAN for ever :D

Whether you install the binaries over the top or in a separate folder isn't important. Your preferences (settings, history, bookmarks, extensions et al) are stored separately, in your profile.

Safe mode's the easiest option, there should already be a shortcut in your Start menu :p

It does it on safe mode to on the work lappy with XP, will check the home pc with Windows 7 laters. Should be the same addons installed on both pc's.
