My poor 3970X lasted just long enough @4.5 to run this

Four 290Xs on air @1180/1600 - loads more in the tank

AMD Radeon R9 290X(4x) @1180/1600 Air

Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition Processor @4.5 Water

Graphics Score 22777

Physics Score 16156

Can you not fit the cpu back into a RIVE and clock it there?

Also, I'm waiting for a BE mbd and have been assured the newer Ivy-E cpus are getting better physics at 4.8 ish than my 3960X at 5.47 in them........with good clocking mem of course.

I don't think the mobo is the problem, I think the problem is the CPU. I will find out when I try my 4930k in the BE.

Two in CF with a gap is not a problem but four tend to throttle a bit.:D

If I run them on the Heaven bench, for the first half they are a few frames faster than the Titans but by the end of the second half they are about 20fps behind lol.

That I would like to see. Any closer to getting the water blocks fitted?
