Is my CPU holding my score back here? The GPU didnt boost above 1518mhz according to GPUz and utilisation didnt go above 90%.

Yes your score is held back by your Cpu. My old I7 920 @ 4.0ghz scores 9900 in the physics score. Your Graphics score is solid though so in actual games you might be ok.
