Is it just me or have fireworks got a lot quieter this year? There is a massive display across the road from me every year and normally the windows are shaking and it's like World War 3!

Everything seems pretty feeble...or maybe I am going deaf?

No. Just no..

They're 50x worse where I am this year, all week upto around 10 o clock.. all you can hear is fireworks all over town..we refuse to let the cat out..
 
We had one of the loudest displays I can remember up here this year. I'm several miles from the park they do the big display in and can still hear it.
 
I just let 15 rockets off in my garden that were pretty loud, at work we sell some that will set car alarms off :eek:
 
Damn i hate fireworks, especially after i lost my cat lost year due to one of them :( :mad: . Some advice from a person who has had his cat killed from a firework:

......don't let the cat out tonight!
 
think u must need a hearing aid then Youstolemyname :D

it was a lot noisier last night than tonight round my way - still lots of bangs though

LOL i've seen them go off, they make such a loud noise then its quite for a split second then you hear 2 or 3 car alarms going off heheh :D

Also heard a story of some idiots using the same ones to blow the door of a post box :eek:

You must be joking, its been going on for about a month!

Fri, Sat and today have just been one continuous noise since around 5pm.
I was even woken up a 4am this morning by some loser letting off fireworks! :rolleyes:

Hopefully a few idiots will manage to blow themselves up again this year. :cool:
 
Fireworks = waste of money!!

I would rather spend my money on beer and women!! It's lasts longer and I get a bang out of it in the end! :D

A few rather loud ones around here. I recorded them because i'm wierd :o :D

Oh yeah, a lot have an odd squeek with them this time :confused:

We had one come through our conservatory window with a stone tied to it, left a nice hole in the window which now needs to be replaced.
 
It's been a lot quieter here than previous years as well, though I'm just putting it down to being on a Sunday and public transport being difficult for a lot of folk.
