lol at the story, one of my friends has been hit from a stick from the big rockets over 1m long, it just left a bump.

anyway, just got back from the firework shop and have £200 worth in a big box ready for tomorrow nite :)

It's raining here now, so only a few die hards are out I guess. I don't mind it till about 10:30 or so, but then it becomes "Seriously... you can stop now."

One of these hit me and the other landed right in front of me.

I'm still alive.

 If I was you I'd go out and buy a lottery ticket right now!

what are those ones called that are possibly banned now.

they were like a tube you stuck into the ground and they fired what looked like a ball of fire into the sky and the ball of fire would make a rather loud BOOM with no fancy explosion.

i once saw a guy get hit in the leg while only beeing around 6 meters from the firework , he was wearing jeans and there was no no damage at all just a bit of steam coming from the area it hit him.

I wouldn't, he got hit by a stick! What are the chances of that!:p

And my, my what a grumpy lot in here, although I guess all the ones that actualy like fireworks are out watching them!:p

as usual another good 'fireworks' night. watched 20 minutes of fireworks then got smashed before eating some kfc. cant wait for works tomorrow!

random rubbish

Jesus christ, call the sun and tell them your story!

I certainly hope you fired that away from the spectators/firers and were a good 25m away.

If you are letting off fireworks the get over to www.ukfr.com and browse through the topics on setting up, PPE, and how to fire displays. It's vital to be safe when setting off displays and have sufficient space to let these things off.

I spent most of last saturday waterproofing, staking and planning my dislpay and it all went off without a hitch. But even with all that forward planning I still had some debris come down alight and a spec was nearly hit by an end of a tube that was blown out of a cake. This was with 25m distance and wind blowing away.

FYI I was at teh Clapham common display tonight and I thought it was pretty crap to be honest. The only slightly exciting moment was the sheer number of shells let off in the finale volleys. But the effects were pretty standard, no willows for example and the rest of the display just dragged on and had very little variation in effects. Ukfr forum and their display a few weeks ago have spoiled me :D

HEALTH AND SAFETY OVERLOAD.............

Looks awesome :D

Is great fun, came back early because it was getting massively crowded and we'd been there since early afternoon. Got a bit hairy at one point, burnt eyebrows and a sleeve on fire  but all good.

Well, well worth a trip, even if you just go once for the experience.

I'm pretty sure the guy on the bonfire is the health and safety bloke though...

Air bombs. Banned by the nanny state. :(

Go to the local shop for fireworks, end up buying a load awesome illegals from the boot of the owners car too then setting them off right by an MOD base.
I love seeing the entire ground lit up by a massive explosion.

Fun times tonight.

I’m surprised central Bagdad didn’t materialise, it was rather peaceful with a few fireworks all evening until some fool decided to start letting them off across the road around 23:00.

I saw a few pidley ones from my flat window and that was it..... northing spectacular down in Cardiff bay :(

On the plus side, i had a toffee apple :D
