Hey there dudes, just got a 128gb crucial m4 but need to update the firmware.
I aint got a clue where to start with this and have been told it can be a bit fiddly.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

right ok, so i have to change the boot priority to the optical drive in the bios then??? sorry if i'm sounding a bit on the thick side but i am assuming that's what you meant.

Thanks for quick response.

Yes, you need to change it to CD for it to boot from the CD. Then when you have flashed it, change it back to whatever you normally have it set on. Since you have to go in there twice, you may as well change the AHCI setting as well, as I said, a lot say do it, but I'm not sure what it does, can't do any harm.

Thanks guys for the advise, on booting the update downloaded and burned to cd, it turned out that the firmware was indeed 009.... so I didn't need to update after all. Come on overclockers computer men, catch up on your products knowledge.
Just one more question for the guys at overclockers....Can you overclock the elite gaming mug???

TBH to the staff, I'm not 100% sure if they'd be able to tell which firmware is on the drive, as they might have old stock which older firmware on there so might have told you as a precaution.
