First bike after CBT - Yamaha YBR125 OR Honda CBF125

Bike and helmet look great. Enjoy them!

I concur with Diddums comment about back protector. Get a good jacket with a pocket for a back protector and install one.

I have a J&S shop near me and been looking at their gear.

I thought helmet would be biggest expense but definitely is not the case.

Are biking boots a must?

Thanks guys.

I would say yes biking boots are a must. In an accident your feet and lower legs can be twisted or crushed between the bike and road, or ripped apart going down the road surface etc. Proper armoured boots offer some protection against that.

Not doubting for one second the importance of the gear.

Just more about buying the right gear. For example, does a £50 pair of "biker boots" do anything a solid pair of hiking boots would not?

I would guess in some ways, yes they do but do they offer additional "protection" as such or do you only see benefits with armoured boots for example?

**** myself doing 60 on the dual carriageway then a sidewind said hello which was fun.

Riding away from the dealer I was like "what am I doing".

Spending some time with family then off out for a bit before bed.
