Can you just use the basic items needed,

One stick of RAM, don't need drives to enter the BIOS.

WOOO that worked!!! disconnected the SSD,HDD,Optical drive, sound card and one stick of RAM

Good news, so remember to set the SATA controller to AHCI for the SSD

Yes, just wipe the ssd and re-install, don't take long.

There is a way of bodging it in the windows registry, but is a bodge.

ok so to wipe do i format it?? where abouts in the bios do i change it to AHCI just for the SSD??

and also its not picking up the OEM-Hard Drive i bought from OcUK

Its under integrated peripherals.

We can sort the hdd later, I suspect it just needs formatting/allocating in disk management.

Wipe the ssd by formatting or deleting the partition in windows installer.

Windows/Control panel/Admin tools/disk managment, you hopefully should see it "greyed" out.

Right click the area and allocate it.

Turn off Disk defrag as this kills SSD's early.

Windows updates.
motherboard chipset driver/INF
GFX driver.
Sound.

What do you mean by sound? i have a sound card some im guessing just run the included CD?

If you have a sound card, then go back into the BIOS and disable the onboard audio.

Then get the latest drivers from ASUS/Creative.
