Hi guys it's my first build I have a good idea what I need, but would love some help going over it and just making sure there's no conflicts or silly mistakes.

as per RJC, is there a particular reason you want Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate ?

maybe a similar psu but 850w if you think you might crossfire the 6950 in future.
 
No particular reason for the ultimate, premium or home would work too. Just don't want to miss out on any important features.

Yeah I'd consider SLI, X-firing gfx in the future, thats why i went with the 900w
 
i'd stick with your original psu then.

go for the home premium retail pack over ultimate if theres nothing you need in it.

have you thought about swapping the western digital 2tb drives for the samsung f4 's ?
 
Is the asrock mobo you chose better than the asus one? I'm not too sure about them, so not really clear on the differences, pros and cons etc.
 
with RJC's spec swap ultimate, for the home premium retail or oem up to you, then swap the 1tb segate for 2 x samsung f4 2tb (as per your orginal spec in place of the westerns) and swap the 750w psu for the one in your original post.
 
As mentioned go for win7 HP not Ultimate, and with the change i'd definitely get an OCZ 120GB Vertex 3 SSD with that board, it loves em and offers te best speeds available (firmare accepting).
 
I have left the 750w PSU as this will be fine for crossfire in the future, I went Retail Win 7 HP and left the Crucial 64gb in, as the higher capacity would have taken you over budget and I used the 60 gb OCZ which was fine for operating system and most used programs.

Out of interest (I see a lot of people spec the above pair), is the thermal compound shipped with the Gelid Tranquillo a load of rubbish?

Admittedly I have not used the thermal which comes with the Gelid cooler, but usually they are not the greatest compounds sent with cpu coolers.

I use AS5 on all my build and not had any issues :)
