I would deffo stay away from 80k. The 2nd fiesta added to your OP also doesnt say mileage. To me if thats missing from a description its because it is high.
Mileage isnt everything though, really just depends how the car is condition wise, however an N reg fiesta is likely to have rusty arches, it is 12years old.
 
find out about their service schedule, e.g. 6N2 Polo's have a really expensive big service at 60k miles so you'd know to enquire about that service if the mileage was thereabouts

If its local go have a look at it. Take someone with you who knows alittle about cars. Probs get alittle off that with some haggling. :)
 
You will find faults with the car (or your brother will) just play on them alittle try get some money knocked off.. will pay for the tax you will be buying in two months. Give it a good test drive and a good look over. You aint spending mega money so i wouldnt worry too much. Dont show the seller that you are desperate for a car lol. I took my sister to view her Yaris after about 1 minute looking over the car she says "oh i love.. i want it" bang went any way of getting the £6k price knocked down lol silly bint.

Well i just viewed it, dad drove it, everything seems ok! Very nice family....

Hes got a different number plate with his name on it, when i type the reg into confused .com for quotes, the reg isnt recognised, is this normal :confused:

Its a 1997 car, the reg has 01 in it, my brother said a 97 car shouldn't have 01 in the reg, i know nothing about these kinda things tho!

Any advice? Should i worry!
 
Depends on how the reg is laid out.

x### xxx is what the plate on the Fiesta should be if not a private plate.

x = letter
# = number

It could have been a private plate if the layout was different. :)

It had their name on it, i have a quote but it wont let be buy cover because it keeps saying invalid reg number :mad:

Its R801 2UX ... should the last three all be letters? Maybe i've wrote the reg down wrong or something :eek:
