Go to the sports bar in piccadilly, it has something for everyone. Great for a night of drinks + american pool + maybe a bit of a dance later once youve had a couple

I would say something like Bowling or a walk around somewhere interesting/scenic so you can chat and get to know each other better. (Avoid the obvious cinema, etc).

Maybe go for a few drinks after if it is going well and you are enjoying each others company. I am sure if you get to this point you won't need to think of things to do as you will already be having a good time!

Here's what you should do;

Ring him up/or message him whatever, then say look I wasn't sure what we were going to do on our date, so I posted on these Overclocking Hardware forums I go to. Sadly I'm still not sure what to do, you're the man so think of something to do, then reply to my post on the forums with that idea, "the boys" will decide whether or not it's a good idea. And/or ask for pics.
