First ever build

No worries mate, you might want to wait a day or so for others to chip in as my word isn't gospel.
Solid build there. Only real option is aesthetics. personally, having an 011d older case with the metal bar going down the front corner between the 2 glass panels, I'd choose another case if going fishbowl style (as detracts from overall effect which newer cases have resolved) that doesn't have the bar. aerocool p500c for £54.95 looks far nicer imho. I'm a fan of the phanteks xt m3 cases also..or maybe the antec cx500m where should be able to put excess cables in the bottom.

As OP never built, maybe atx case also where maybe a bit more space to get hands in etc, though get reasoning as matx boards are cheaper

only other thing I could suggest to OP is maybe going straight in with something like a 9060xt 16gb from the get go (though that does blow the budget. More expensive, but 1440p av is 70fps whereas the b580 is below 60fps (that's without upscaling but that's also double edge sword as upscaling works better with a higher fps to start, so extra expensive may be worth it as extends life of gpu belfore needing an upgrade...(only going by speed my kids went from fortnite exclusive to pretty much every game they could get their hands on...to the point my eldest then went and knicked my 3080fe off me )..also the extra vramis always nice too (i only see game textures etc going one way)

also @eadzy , as gray2233 said, ram prices are through the roof at mo..I'd def shop around to see whats available..pc shops tend to have diff discounts on products at diff times, so mixing and matching a bit can potentially save

Me being a complete
Novice, which part is the Ram? I don’t want to pay over the odds if I can shop around.

components

1.Case
comes in various size depending on the size of the motherboard. As a beginner I'd stick with Atx size and mAtx. you then get different types of style...standard will have fans at the front of the case pulling air in with a side panel that is glass..the psu(power unit) sits underneath. Fishbowl can have psu underneath but front and side is glass. dual chamber cases are fishbowl but wider..the glass side just shows the main components and the back side contains the power unit and space for all the cables

2.Motherboardfor above either Atx or mATX
Atx is standard size
mATx is micro atx for smaller builds
you also get minit atx(itx) wehich are smaller than mAtx and e-atx which are larger than atx but ignoring these as cost goes up

if you get a matx best just get a matx case and visa versa..generally new cases come with the standoffs already in place (this keeps the motherboards from touching the actual case..so stopping shorts etc..if you get a matx mobo and place in a atx case you might have to move the standoffs to new positions (as they'll be set up for atx cases) and an atx motherboard will be too big to fit in a matx case

3) cpu (central process unit)...this sits in the top middle part of the mobo..it'll be surrounded on top and left by the vrm's (voltage regulator modules) which are covered by heatsinks..these regulate the power for everything..to the right of the cpu socket you'll see 2 or 4 long sockets which are vertical..these are for putting the ram in

4) RAM 9random access memory)..hogh speed short term memory modules..these will be covered with a heatsink with/withour rgb now generally...sit top right mobo to the right of the cpu

5) m.2 ssd. Basically your long term storage. solid state storage that slots straight into the motherboard now that is fast..1st socket is generally just below the cpu and above the horizontal gpu socket(pcie x16 slot)..new boards will have 2/3/4 or even 5 slots for storage and these are far faster than old sata solid state drives and old hard drives hhd

6)GPU just below that mid board(or lower mid on a mATX board is the long horizontal pcie16 GPU lot) that the graphics card sits..this of course drives all the grahics for the games

7) PSU..power unit powers everything..generally sits at bottom of case..a cheaper psu will be semi modular where cables are attached to it and you may not use some so you tuck them away..more expensive units are fully modular, so the power unit has no cables attached, and you get them in a bag with the psu, and just plug in the cables you need 9this is by far the preferable way) as you only use the cables you need and leave therest out of the build
cheap psu's have short 2/3 yrs warranties..decent midrange 7yrs and top tier power units gerally come with 10yrs or more warranties

8) other stuff to think about.
CPU cooler...the 7600 you were shown has it's own cooler that sits on the cpu..it's a heatsink and a fan to keep it cool..does the job but not great and can get noisy..so buying a seperate one will improve things..more expensive cpu's genrally don't come with a cooler as expected that the builder will automatically just buy their own cooler etc(air or water)..for budget build as grey put, just get a air cooler for £20-£35..can get excellent cooler at that price
case fans..generally what you've been shown, the case already has preinstalled case fans so will leave as that

Thanks Craig, that’s a massive help.
