But I still don't see how he was denying him. He slid to challenge, Gerrard skipped it, scuffed his shot then went down.. :confused:

Plus if the ref thought there was contact he must have played the advantage, Gerrard stayed on his feet, shot and then the ref brought it back.. :confused:
 
That was the most liverpool could honestly say they deserved from that game, Sheffield United are not exactly Barcelona and Liverpool made them look like a decent side.
Same old same old from the scallies.
 
Very soft penalty decision. Contact looked extremely minimal to say the least.

Nice to see 'pool lose a couple of points already though.

Those of you criticising Ian Darke are very quick to forget the abysmal commentating in the World Cup ;) I agree that Martin Tyler and Andy are the best duo but Ian Darke is not a bad commentator by any stretch of the imagination.
 
lol @ Warnock. Does he ever keep his trap shut ? What a clown.

He's not far off the mark with what he's saying, but the FA will have him if he rages after every game.

As for Darke, he's a magical commentator when compared to the likes of Pearce and John Salako, but against Tyler ?! Pants, like I said before, stick to boxing please.

Refs just explained it perfectly on sky.


Well deserved point for Sheffield, they deserved to win it though really, we looked absolutely awful, especially after beating Chelsea last week.
I think we underestimated them, we cant play Zenden through the middle like that, i dont think hes even got a place in the team.
 
They said during the game they're expecting Zenden to play a lot in the middle this season, I highly doubt it tbh. When they don't have a Champs League game midweek they'll be playing Stevie G in the middle and Pennant wide right surely ?
