First Roadkill...its a big one! :(

Well I couldn't remember...

"O HAI, U SAID U NEEDED MORE HORSEPOWERZ"

;)

Worse one I ever saw was coming back from Kielder (the same time as when the Cavalier nearly run us off the road that I posted about a week or two ago), anyway I can't even remember what kind of car it was but there was a deer stuck in the front of it.

i've hit 2 pheasants. :)

first time was on a motorbike, cranked over about 120ish and pheasant flies straight out of a hedge into me.... i tucked my head towards the ground more and it clipped the top of my helmet.

second time i was in a pug 205 and pheasant in the road on a dual carrieageway so i went into the lane the bird wasnt in - then it flew straight into the side of the car and bang. there goes my wing mirror. :(

Sounds nasty HIC!

Friend of my brother's actually got taken clean off his bike by one, about 80 and it squared him in the chest, taking him straight back & off!

yeah, a guy i used to go riding with hit one flat in his chest and it broke a couple of ribs!!

i was very lucky as it was literally just out of the corner of my eye so if i hadn't ducked those 6 inches or whatever it would have given me a bit of a headache.

Beat this one ...

Eyre Highway , West Australia on a section called the 80 mile straight , the longest straight road in the country.
Just over a brow of a hill , 185km/h on my cruise control. I didnt even have time to touch my brake pedal.

I think the worst I ever saw while living up in suffolk was a car hit a full size male pig. Was not pretty. The pig survived the crash as it wasn't that fast but the car really didn't.
I got used to seeing or hitting pheasants as well, sort of thing that happened all the time.
Also once you've shot a few you become less bothered by them in their road kill state. I can't believe you buried it though. We always just left em where we'd hit them. Somet normally caries them off after a bit.

I can just see the advert for the Civic Type R if it comes up for sale:

"2002 Civic Type R, low mileage, excellent condition only slightly foxed"

and Vandle - looks like you've got a 'rude' car there :D

(first post out of the Overclocking forum and I tell bad jokes... God help me)

If i'd left it where i'd hit it, it'd still be implanted in the front grill of a Civic :)

Also found out it wasn't buried in the field, just laid out there, as there's a lot of foxes that would have dug it up anyways..

Well fed car! :D

I'd have left it in place for the drive home, for comedy value, so long as the temps were OK.

The things you see when living in the countryside are truly astounding.

Cows, in the middle of the road round fast bends, fox's everywhere, stupid pheasants constantly in the road, deer (which are easily the 2nd worst after cows) jumping out everywhere.

Sheep are pretty terrifying at 60mph.
