Very nice starting salary. It's funny how many people think they will walk straight out of uni into the megabucks but I would imagine that is comfortably well above the average starting salary.

If I start with one of the middle east carriers I can be on about £2500 tax free as a minimum, but those jobs are pretty difficult to get. Plus, i'll have to shell out 70k on training

I was earning megabucks before going to uni (mature student). Completed my degree and now on almost 40% less a year...I must have gone wrong somewhere. :mad:

But I am still on too much cash

I start my GradScheme at Logica next year sometime (deferred the entry, I want to travel a bit first!) and will be on £24k PA, so £2000 per month. I'd say £2262 was a good amount!

I'm on less now after Income Tax, Family tax, Wife with credit card tax and pocket money tax. Then i'm taxed VAT.
