Hey Guys,

As i have had brilliant advice here before i just wanted to ask regarding my first SDD, i built my first PC with advice, help and all the parts from Overclockers!

I just wanted to ask about my first SSD, i'm looking to get one for my OS win7 and a few games thats it.. no other software just games!

As for size and funds i was thinking a 128GB one to start off with? i know some games are huge but i only play one at a time! i also have a 500 GB HDD for everything else..

Can anyone give me a few pointers, or if i'm better saving up and getting a massive one 256GB 512GB or another 128 later as they seem best priced atm!?

I have a Z77x-D3h mobo and an i5 sandybridge processor with a 7850 Radeon

many thanks :D

Intel 330 180gb model or Samsung 830 256gb? If budget is more important maybe the 128gb version of the Samsung?

There's always Steam Mover.
I may be getting myself a Vertex 4 128GB for Christmas and I am aiming to just have my OS, programs and a couple of games. When I decide I don't wan't to play a game anymore, I can simply transfer it over to the HDD from the SSD with Steam Mover.

I've been using steam mover for a long time but I installed a game yesterday and discovered that there is now an option to install your steam games in different "libraries". I have no idea when this was added, but now you can create multiple library locations to install your games on different hard drives. Sadly, I already have about 120gb of games installed via steam mover and don't want to reinstall.

As for SSDs and games. What games are we talking here? A lot of games really won't show much improvement at all.

Hey, yeah looking into steam mover, i also play all the latest games... i have purchased a 128GB one to start off with...but as luck would have it i won £500 at the bookies on the irish lottery after 1 year of trying , I'm not lucky normally...

if i fell in a barrel of t*ts i would come out sucking my thumb..

now my dilema is another SSD or upgrade my old 500GB HDD to something newer and faster and bigger as it is a few years old now!

any ideas?
Cheers

Stick with the 128gb ssd and try it first with your 500gb hdd? Then upgrade to a 2tb hdd,you can clone the drives with macrium reflect,it will be an exact copy
