First ssd install advice

Hi,
I have just purchased a '128GB OCZ Vertex 4, 2.5" SSD, SATA'.
I have an Asus P6T Deluxe m/b. I haven't updated the bios since purchase three years ago. Would it be beneficial to do so before installing my new ssd. Also do I need to concern myself with firmware updates with a brand new drive? Should I download the 'OCZ toolbox' and let that instruct me?
Any help would be appreciated,

I would only update the bios if your motherboard does not recognize your ssd.

Secondly i would put your ssd in your system before you install the operating system, presuming you havnt erased your original OS. Then use OCZ toolbox to update the firmware if needed. Then your good to go
