First time HELP please

yer good point man that defrag dose take real long some time ill bear that in mind main reason i got such a big drive to so i can bang the full version of MAME on it,its a massive 198gb approx
 
You could probably do it like this.

Partion 1: Games related
Partion 2: Software/documents
Partion 3:Music/video stuff

so that would be like 333gb per partion, which would be a lot easier to deal with.
