**First User impressions of Leadex Superflower PSU.**

They must have changed the profile on normal fan mode or there's an issue with yours.

According to the techpowerup review in normal mode at about 200w the fan is still off and spins up to 600rpm at about 400w. In eco mode it starts spinning even later.

There's nothing wrong with this unit, guess they changed it or something, again its in Auto mode and spinning at what appears to be full speed.

But who cares about Auto mode when Eco is silent:D

I'd love to see a picture of that. :D

Ask and ye shall recieve! :D Can confirm it's a lovely unit, solid. Was very tempted by the white but felt black would be more compatible with more colour schemes :p

the power connectors lighting up looks sexy as hell
Yeah, too bad it's kinda wasted in a Corsair Carbide Air 540 case.

Can always make your own LED bling - LED's only cost about 7p each, if that. :)

Question
Is the plastic plugs`hard`plastic?
If they pass light are they a brittle type of plastic as opposed to the `ordinary`plastic used on most other psus?
and how stiff(oo err :D)is the braiding? The braiding and cables on my corsair TX 850 is like a hose pipe and soooo stiff too

Valid for Seasonic yes. As Seasonic don't allow any spec change for their partners, they just re-box and change the label.

But Superflower will build to your specification, whethers its an improvement or cost cutting exercise (within reason).

So the EVGA PSU's which are Superflower built, are not identical to the Leadex units, the most obvious of this is how the Superflower Leadex have glowing connectors and the EVGA does not. What other changes there is are unknown, but I know Superflower sold as their own brand is an all out premium high-end product with the absolute highest quality, with zero cost cutting taken into effect. :)

Seasonic do allow a few changes, like the fan/modular interface and capacitors. They just don't let you alter the overall design/topology.

Brittle plastic. Hurts pulling them out of the modular sockets on the PSU they are that tight :D

Braiding is quite 'stiff' but not to the point of being unmanageable.

I've got a Super Flower 1300W Gold in my new mining rig powering the cards in my signature. It's been an absolute dream to work with and hasn't batted an eyelid powering all cards often going above 1300W :)

These are great PSU's, I got the EVGA Supernova P1000 (Exact same PSU with different casing) when it was ~£150 and I couldn't believe how quiet it was even when pumping out serious juice, sadly though the EVGA unit isn't much to look at but the aesthetic improvements on SF's own branded one are gorgeous /drool
