I have the distinction of handling herring roe at work on the meat & fish counter. Apparantly it tastes great coated with a bit of flour and fried for a few minutes.
I just take old peoples' word for it.

and plaice, dont get me started. I woudlo need at least 4 or 6 fillets to even start to make a meal from it. I know it depends on what size the fish is but once its cooked and if you dont like the skin, thats removed you have bugger all left..SiriusB said:I have the distinction of handling herring roe at work on the meat & fish counter.
