Fishing Thread..

well i went out for a 7am chuck on Hollingworth Lake (big res in the northwest). got hampered by boaters and rowers, and the gale force winds.

it became almost impossible to distinguish the bites from the current. but year enough of the excuses;

i caught about 7 roach and 2 perch.. we were after the bream, but they didnt show up (for the 2nd consecutive trip - after joy the first 2 trips before that).

think a change in venue is required, dowry res here we come !

Very nice! bet that gave your line a tug or two. also, whats with the weather it looks sunny where you were. been raining here almost torrentially for the last month lol.

Wa roughly around 15 - 20 Ib and took about 30 minutes to get in as i only had 6Ib line. It was an amazing feeling and it got me hooked. haha

It was in August sometime taken in a lake in chelmsford town Centre Admoirals park would you believe.

I read recently the lake was dug out for clay and soil to fill the giant pillars of the railway viaduct which is just to the side.

The lake is the one at the top section...
