Fitting a Nest-heat link control to Ideal Logic plus 35 boiler

I have the logic plus 30 combi, all the logic plus boilers have the opentherm loom installed instructions here number 34

So I promise I will stop pestering you guys soon... :) @Thebug, So my last attempt assuming I locate the opentherm connectors step 3 is where I fall down here on what I do....

1) A and B untouched
2) C D and E to Earth, N and L
3) Remove Black and Grey wires coming to F and G **** Do I need to loop or link a wire from F to G now or leave not connected?
4) Use the old Black and Grey wires to connect to T1 and T2 (these will now provide 12v to the Nest therm)
5) locate opentherm connect to OT1 and OT2 (connect in any order these wires)

Yes thats correct you will still need to take a live and neutural to the heatlink

I have no link wire in mine

Everything else is correct

cool, you mean live and neutral using D and E above I just double up to heat link (I'll also do earth but it not required). Seems to be much easier. Thanks so much :)

I just need to locate the opentherm now. Looks like I have a remove the timer link plug inside the cover and connect something else up see page 33 http://idealboilers.com/installer/w...46-Logic-Combi-C-Installation-Servicing-c.pdf

No problem wire it the same but the 2 wires that were going to opentherm connectors put in 5 and 6 on heatlink and f and g on boiler or get the harness

The harness comes with the weather compensation kit as well for about £15

Then put 2wires from the opentherm connections in the boiler to ot1 and ot2 in the heatlink no need to use the call for heat connections then

Been trying to get my nest running on opentherm but does not seem to do anything swapped out the cables as the manual said still says its running on room stat. Could that be to do with the loop for room stat timer next to the power block on the picture of the power number 33??

No need for any wires in the room thermostat connectors, and im pretty sure mine says controlled by room stat on the boiler this is correct, you should notice when the weather gets colder the boiler will raise the temperature accordingly.

On holls at the moment but can check when i get back

The boiler did say it was controlled by room stat before but nothing happened when selecting on nest. Mine now says timer or room stat off however the nest works ? Might fire an email over to ideal and pick there brains.

Yea it says timer or roomstat off when heating is off but should say temp controlled by room stat when heating is on
