Fitting Door Pins 106

ermm well im only guessing here but...

take your door panel off, there you can have free access to current door pins on the stick of metal basically, im not sure if they pull off or what, let me go check my haynes manual ...

strangly the max power haynes manual doesnt actually say, but i assume u just pull them off but dont take my word for it

edit: anything else 106 related you want help with?

They are attached to a rod and retangular shaped. To remove them you have to cut them off, thats all I know. What are the new ones like, are they supposed to stick over the old ones or what? I personally wouldn't bother mate.

Max Power 4tl
Not necessarily. Certain of those mods can look very good on particular cars. But there is a time and place... (which is often ignored in a max power/ripspeed induced frenzy :p )

hmm lol i think petrol caps are ok, ive just fitted mine and it looks better than stock, mesh er well only with a body kit, pedals yes cos its better than stock, seat covers no you want proper seats door pins probs not but each to their own

edit: what does look bad is when chavs just stick crappy 4 spoke wheels on a nova and a rather large exaust, if someone actually takes the time to make their car look good then its ok

The door pins unscrew with a 40s torx socket and then tap the rest of the way out, no need to strip the door. Make sure the top hinge hasnt come unwelded - its a common problem on 106's and I have welded them back on under warranty for peugeot in the past on cars under 3 years old, the pins dont usually fail on there own.
