Flagship card not good enough

:D I certainly wouldn't go out and replace a 290X with a 780Ti just for Bf4, my money would on a faster CPU to compliment the 290X, especially if he's against using Mantle.

Unless of course he fancies a change and or features of the 780Ti.

Both are cracking cards.

Hmmmmm didn't you have a 780Ti and then a 290X? :p

Joking aside, I completely agree.

It wouldn't had been too bad if it was to choose between a 290x at £400 or a GTX780Ti at £500 (granted they are mostly £530+ on average) buying new, but since OP already got the 290x, he would make a loss of up to around £100-£120 on selling it, thus making the "upgrade" to GTX780Ti at a cost of £200-£250

I certainally wouldn't bother...would be much better to chip in a bit more and go crossfire instead if it really is issue with lack of GPU grunt.

You need 2 top tier cards, nvidia or AMD to maintain top settings at 60 fps at 1440 res in many AAA titles now. Simple as that.

4k - forget it for now, unless you're mentally ill and run quad fire ;-)

That thread command

Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4

Is interesting as when running BF4 it shows CPU Cores : Job threads : 3. Should it not be 4 threads?
