flashed at 80+ mph

There are a couple around here and they are a nightmare - too slow for 3rd really so you need to stay in 2nd doing 20mpg and concentrating on your speedo. They are normally found in residential areas or areas where the road is rather tight - ie, where you need to make sure you are paying 100% attention to the ROAD not making sure you are not travelling at 25% over the speed limit (or 25mph!)

Although I agree and find 20mphs a pain in the backside, I worry that the main reason for this is purely that I'm not used to them. If I were, 20mph would be no problem, I could judge the speed easily and could keep my eyes on the road.

There is a 20 near me. Its an extremely tight road which cars are allowed to park on  so if a bus comes along everyone slows to a standstill wondering what to do next lol. It used to be 30, most people would realize you couldn't do 30 and do more about 1st gear no more than 10mph, though of course people new to the area would possibly not have full concentration and poof off comes a wing mirror. Although the 20 continues past the tight spot as well for some reason :/ nobody stick to it then.

Providing he doesn't incriminate himself there is absolutely no chance of him getting done. How on earth would they prove it was him when he's trussed up his leathers and helmeted?

20 limit is normally - 1st, 2nd, back to 1st, 2nd, down to 1st again, then repeat.

On a bike or car? because on an average car 3rd gear easily cruises at 20mph in fact 20mph is when you would normally shift up to 3rd...normally.

Ideal cruise gear/revs/everything unless you have to constantly slow down for stuff.

Car. But the 20-zones around here mostly have speed bumps (large ones at that) which you have to slow right down for.

Child killer!

Ah I see, well in portsmouth I've only driven on one road I know of which is 20 and that's only a 20 now because people have been injured/killed numerous times on it in the past! It's got no speedbumps though so is a constant 20 with pelican crossings scattered around.

Not too shabby ^_>

I've yet to see anyone do 20 in a 20, police included, have actually been beeped by em to speed up when doing 25 or so since they were behind me :D
