Flashforward

Something between the acting and directing really isn't doing it for me.

I'll keep watching as long as it holds the wife's interest.

The acting is quite bad, the cast are just not clicking very well at all. Compared to the likes of 24 or heroes there seems a lack of quality in acting.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Heroes + good acting, seriously, i mean, seriously?

The stories/characters are just so predictably boring, asian guy, I'm gonna die, so I'm gonna believe any half sentence anyone says to me and do my best to ignore what my partner says, even though so far everything he saw they've checked into has been verified as real.

The lead's "secretary" type, with all the crow stuff, not thinking saving billions of people is worthy of letting an almost dead Nazi out of jail, then refusing to simply do her job without a diatribe of are we really looking into this, repeatedly, for no reason.

The lead's wife acting like a complete spaz with everything, the inability for them to just ask the kid what she saw and help her get over it.

The CIA refusing to help them find the cause? what, why would the CIA be against it, likewise why does everyone know a random hacker who can break into the secret files they need, likewise, with this the most important thing to him why did it take him so long to agree? Not to mention, they've just released a Nazi, they could go over and take a look at where these crows died, but meh, its not really important all of a sudden, the fact its the only lead in the flashfowards, which killed millions maybe across the globe, meh all of a sudden its who the hell cares?

Shows that just massively change the story for the episode, for no real reason other than to add filler to a series, but which absolutely makes no sense to the main story line or characters or how they've acted in the past few episodes, is nonsense.

I'm watching this with the girlfriend but even she's twigging on that this is really not good TV. The acting seems to be getting worse, finding it hard to watch at times

Is this a comedy? Seriously, I thought it was good so far but after tonight I don't know if I want to carry on watching it any more.

Well First couple of eps looked good, but after seeing total of 6 eps now it's REALLY dragging. It's so slow. it's like watching Eastenders (24,Lost) and then watching coronation street straight after(flashforward). Nothingis happening. There's a bunch of leads and possible storlines. The cliffhanger last night was essentially the SAME cliffhanger as a week or 2 ago. WTF. I'm gonna keep watching it', but it's not doing it self any favours.

I was putting up with the acting and snail like pace but when Benford got up in the courtroom to give evidence and his boss hasn't even bothered checking out his flash forward story before presenting it. I kind of lost faith.

I'll probably stick with it for a while longer to see how the full story unfolds. It isn't looking good though.

I agree about the ending.

Story is moving too slowly, and some of the storylines are more absurd than 24! At least with 24 you know it's gonna be 'all action/all jack' orientated, but this is just pathetic. Following a blue hand! wtf.

I'll keep watching, but for a first season it really doesnt compete with the competition.

I'm not too sure about this series. With the way the storyline is going it's either going to get to the bottom of the blackout in 1 series then go off on a tangent or string it out for about 5.

Totally agree. Hang on a little longer chaps.

Like many others here I've been following this and agree it's not exactly everything that was expected of it. I'll probably watch a few more episodes in the hope they reveal exactly what caused the blackout but the cliff hanger at the end of every episode is getting monotonous now.

Also what does this kangaroo have to do with anything?

I like cliffhangers in these kind of things. But they have to be either a shock reveal, or literally someone hanging on a cliff/someone in peril/tough decision to make etc - but a cliffhanger that is the same as the one from 2 eps ago except is F2F instead of on the phone really sucks. no advancement at all.

It does remind me, typing that, of a couple of episodes of lost, I can't remeber which series, but the first ep opened and followed someones time line, culminating in a cliffhanger, and the next ep followed somone else, culminating in pretty much the same cliffhanger That worked for some reason that this didn't. if it was even trying to do that.

No idea about the Kangaroo, I was searching around looking for clues on that - I can't even speculate as to what it might be.. But it's definitely significant according to things I've read. Maybe the local zoo keeper blacked out when the kangaroo cage was open. Did animals black out? who knows.

The problem I found with this episode is that we didn't get any answers.

With Lost they would give you some answers and then some more questions. With this it was like "We are going to give you some answers...oh actually no we are not, but we will give you some more questions". I personally do not find frustration all that much fun.

Plus when did the tower actually appear in Africa, 1991 or 2009, because you would think a 300ft tower suddenly appearing in a village in Africa would get some media coverage and investigation over 18 years.
it was man made.

This is all my opinion

First three episodes had me gripped with an interesting story but after the fourth episode I just can't be bothered any more.

This is such an awful series and I can now see why Sky One didn't grab onto it. The story is so slow moving and dull that I really do not give a **** what happens with the story and characters.

Drunkenmaster, the Heroes actors and actresses are a cut above what is presented in Flashforward. They are so poor I can't decide who is more cringe worthy.. Mark, his wife, Demetri, or Dylan (the ever so ENGLISH actor). All bloody terrible. What a joke this whole show is!

I won't be watching this anymore.

/goodbye me in this thread

While I agree that it has been disappointing and slow moving (plot doesn't seemed to have moved anywhere useful in the last two episodes), I will just say I think the actors aren't doing a particularly bad job, no one really stands out for me but I don't have any real complaints. Also Jack Davenport has always sounded 'ever so ENGLISH'. I think he's the standout at the moment along with Dominic Mnmgmn (can never spell it) but I get annoyed with the fact we know nothing about his character yet.

I think its pretty pants as well. I sit down to watch, then get bored knowing that the only good thing will happen in the last 90 seconds.
True Blood however ..... :D
