Flashforward

There's a strange E00 ep, which contains a summary with cheesy american voiceover as a kind of extended 'previously', may be worth watching as tbh I can barely remember what happened, but then again I can remember that not a lot actually happened.

Well hypothetically, IF I had now watched it then hypothetically I would have thought it was more of the same old boring rubbish, and I won't be watching it any more :)

I thought the two new episodes after the ridiculous break were a lot better than the ones previously. I got a bit bored around episode 5 but stuck with it in the hope it got better.

We shall see I guess. If this season ends up being no good, I doubt I'll carry on watching!

Not much seems to have happened in this series, it's a bit of a snorefest. I don't care why people blacked out.

I think this weeks episode is the last for me...

Got bored of this after the first 2 episodes and now its returning?? WHY??...its utter rubbish and quite a snoozefest.

Sadly I had already long figured out that it was Janice.

I'm still not getting to grips with Flash Forward, still seems to be 95% of nothing happening and then 5% of something being said/done in the last few minutes before the closing credits.

Getting a bit tired of the oooh look...nothing happening...and.....DUN DUNDUN !!! thats taken you by surprise !! episode end format of so many of these shows.

Im losing interest in this after its return, it seems quite weak which is a shame as it had potential, ill probably watch it anyway because they do sometimes improve.

The premise and the acting (for the most part) is OK. It's the really lame scripts etc... One bit that totally stuck out was when they were in the copter/plane landing in somalia and they cracked some really lame jokes/lines etc, was like something out a bad sitcom. 24, for example would never have any characters saying anything like that. Also the really cheesy/dodgy bit where Janice and the agent 'who's going to die OMG!!' were deciding to get it on etc, was too freaking cheesy. Cut that crap out and tighten the whole thing up a bit and it'd be half decent.

Also the cheesy as hell music interludes that keep reappearing with 'emotional' images faded in and out to some crap music. No one likes that . Lost got absoluted slaughtered when they did that in the early seasons. It's pure filler. It's cringeworthy.

I think what they are trying to do is add the filler material, to extend the run of the show.

I havent seen more than a handful of episodes (I gave up on the show), but from the sounds of it, if they editted out all the filler material they could probably make a decent 2 hour movie out of it. Unfortunately, the producers have signed a contract for X episodes and are doing whatever it takes, to fill the show out to cover those episodes.

I'm still watching it and it's still watchable and interesting to a point but I do agree that nothing much seems to be happening now and I could care less about the whole Blackout thing.

Apparently there are 22 episodes, so six episodes remain. I doubt it will get picked up for a second season, I don't see what other story they could tell after this without repeating themselves with another Blackout and so on. It probably would have worked better as a mini series, cut out all of the filler rubbish and condense it down to about ten episodes or less.

I think its improved the last three episodes but after reading this thread and then watching the Thursday night episode, the constant "serious emergency/high drama" music had me in tears. It was also completely unrealistic that Olivia kissed the scientist guy (the fact I don't immediately remember his name tells a story about this series).

I'll watch it through to the end of the first series but in no way should it go beyond that.

Whilst I've been watching it, I've got a feeling they'll make at least 3 series out of it, which is a shame, if it was nice and short it could be awesome.

Prison Break and Heroes met the same fate, cack because they're too long and stretched out

Totally agree. I'm really enjoying this so far and although the scripts are a bit dodgy the premise of the story is great imo.

I just really really hope that this season is the only one and it is brought to a conclusion at the end rather than holding off for another season or something.

I've greatly enjoyed the show thus far although I can't see how they can stretch it out beyond one season.
Prison Break was awesome in its first season but they had to milk it and thus ruined it completely.
I'm not sure how flashforward has been doing in the ratings so who knows if it'll get milked as yet?

I must say that i really enjoy flashforward.....there i said it.

Yes its a bit of a slow burner, yes the acting isnt great and yes the MILF guy out of american pie is playing an FBI agent, but in all honesty what else is there to watch on a monday evening?
